Congratulations to the following students for their success in the recent Athletics Trials. A number of students were entered into Sheffield trials at Don Valley Stadium. Success in this meant a chance at representing Sheffield in a South Yorkshire competition.
Smart Academy PE staff are pleased to announce that Chris Mason, Simon Brown, Emma Jones and Megan Fisher have all been asked to represent Sheffield in the South Yorkshire competition that will take place at the Keepmoat in Doncaster.

Congratulations on your success and the best of luck!!!!!!

June 10, 2011 in Community, Front Page News, Parents, Staff, Students by Mrs Johnson

Anthony Heley, a student in year 9, has for many years taken part in the “Karting Scene”. He has visited many different countries where he has continually improved his status and ranking. Anto took part in the European qualifiers in Lincolnshire recently, along with 74 other drivers. He qualified for the final, to be held in Zuera, Spain at the end of July. He will compete against 90 other drivers from around the world who have annual budgets of up to 2 million pounds. Anto knows it will be a tough event, but he is sooo looking forward to it.

All of us at Smart Academy wish him all the best!!
